NRCan CMRDD contribution to Ucore RapidSX demonstration (Kingston)
Natural Resources Canada announced $4.2 million CAD through the Critical Minerals Research, Development and Demonstration (CMRDD) program on February 5, 2024 for Ucore Rare Metals to demonstrate the commercial viability of its RapidSX rare earth separation technology platform at its Kingston, Ontario commercialization and demonstration facility, processing approximately 13-15 tonnes of total rare earth oxides over a six-month period to produce high-purity neodymium and praseodymium samples. The eligible expenditure period runs from September 22, 2023 to March 31, 2025.
