Pensana Saltend Rare Earth Processing Hub

Pensana plc's rare earth separation hub at Saltend Chemicals Park, East Yorkshire, backed by the UK Automotive Transformation Fund in July 2022 with construction beginning that month. In October 2025 Pensana was reported to have scrapped the refinery plans and reoriented its downstream strategy to the United States; the company's March 2026 interim accounts still carry Saltend as a development asset.
